Well now we know.
In executive session last night, the Princeton Board of Selectmen reached an agreement with our Selectman, John Lebeaux, to hire him as their new Town Administrator. The job begins Wednesday, July 1.
He'll likely resign from the Shrewsbury Board of Selectman this week or perhaps next Monday, June 29. That should give the remaining four selectmen plenty of time to appoint a successor who would serve the remainder of Lebeaux's term through May 2010.

Congrats to Lebeaux for his new position as Town Administrator. Who will be the viable candidates to replace him?
Maybe Shaikh or Joanna Musselman are good candidates to consider for the job.
I hope there is an open process to select John's replacement.
This is a good opportunity to change up the board with a person who has good ideas but does not have the money to run a $12,000 campaign. I hope the board considers people who have been out there and helping the town instead of picking someone who will be more of the same.
Good idea to pick someone that has been involved and active. I think Tom's and Moe's "no agenda" got kicked where it belongs this last election year. What a foolish statement: lets get someone to make decisions who has not shown an ounce of iterest in the town before.
If you're not big fan of "more of the same", I think you'll be very disappointed. What would motivate the 3 people making the decision to pick anyone other than a friend/trusted associate? We know Ben is going to vote NO on any candidate the Board nominates, so whomever it is, will be any ally of the remaining 3. I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. I keep hearing about "more of the same", yadda, yadda, but then i have to stop and think about the services we have been fortunate to receive and look at how low our tax bills are. I think our current BOS and the BOS' of the previous 10-15 years, have done pretty good for us. Maybe I'm blind to what's really going on, so someone needs to show me in black and white what is soooo bad. I mean that seriously. I'm sure the slippage of services at our schools will be front and center in the discussion, but how exactly is that the BOS fault? Don't pick on me or bash me, please just educate me. I need to learn this stuff.
Do you know for sure he's resigning- It's clearly a conflict of interest I'd think, but one never knows how some people think!
