How Do You Picture Shrewsbury’s Future?

Shaping the Future Workshop,

Tuesday, November 10 at 6:30pm Shrewsbury Public Library

During this Tools and Techniques Session, participants will explore opportunities and learn effective strategies in working with local officials to help guide development, ensuring a high quality of life for years to come.

The workshop will provide guidance for crafting and implementing effective strategies to:

· Update and implement community plans

· Identify and protect the highest priority land and water supplies

· Provide incentives for well-planned growth

· Establish and apply standards to minimize the impacts of development

Shrewsbury's future is bleak and so is Massachusetts and the US. We have shipped our jobs overseas and we continue to do so. Job losses continue which will lower tax collections which in turn will lead to layoffs for the town and the schools. Add in the greed of CEOs and others in high positions and we are becoming a third world country when it comes to income distribution. I hope I am proven wrong but ...

I read the post and the question was "How do you picture Shrewsbury's future?"
My answer was bleak and I gave my reasons. That was the only question Missy posed, the rest was about the environment but there were no questions.
